LOW
COST AIRLINES- (a
very short explanation)
A new breed of airline perceived to be cheaper can also be referred to
as no frills airlines. We have all seen the adverts for these airlines
which advertise they offer the cheapest fares on the internet and say they
are cheaper than the airlines that have been around for years. (no names
mentioned or implied!) Are they cheaper? If you want a cheap flight and
are prepared for a bit of hassle and can book early then you could save
a packet. Just make sure that the flight actually goes to the airport you
want.
One airline flies into Prestwick in Scotland and advertises flights
to Glasgow Prestwick. Prestwick is about an hours drive from Glasgow and
this scenario could apply from both airports and could also add to your
journey time considerably. You need to weigh up what is more important
to you price or convenience. Sometimes it does not cost much more to travel
from the main city based airports once you have added on your extra traveling
expenses and the extra time. A lot of the low cost airlines also offer
limited luggage and hand luggage in the cost and usually no in flight meals
( you can take your own sandwiches!) To help you decide contact the Glasgow
flight reservation team for advice on 0870 87 22 555 it could save you
money and suggest a better option for your journey. |
